IMPORTANT NOTICE
Notice of Temporary Closure for Maintenance (OCT 27 – OCT 31)

We will be temporarily CLOSED for maintenance from October 27 to October 31.
This closure affects our lodging and cafeteria.
The shop and campground will remain open.

Lodging and the cafeteria will reopen on November 1st, then we will close our door from November 4 for the season.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

1.Operational days in 2025
April 26 – Overnight stay until November 3
(Closed from the morning of November 4)
Note: In 2025, April 26 is a Saturday, so we will open one day earlier than usual.

2.All lodge staying guests must have reservations
Reservations can be made online or by phone.

Online: Available only for stays from July 1 to October 26 and can be booked up to 2 months in advance with limited availability.
A credit card guarantee is required. Unlike phone reservations, cancellation fees apply earlier, so please check the cancellation policy before booking.

Phone: Available throughout the entire season, starting 1 month before your stay date.
For example, if you wish to stay on August 11, you can call us from July 11. If your stay is on May 31, July 31, or October 31, reservations open on the 30th of the previous month.

Note: For those planning to stay between April 26 and May 25, phone reservations will open on April 25 at 7:00 AM.

3.Meal information for lodge staying guests
Our meals are served as a set menu.
Dinner includes a meat dish, and breakfast includes grilled fish.
Due to limited food supplies and cooking facilities in this mountain area,
we are unable to accommodate any dietary requests, including vegetarian, vegan, or allergy-friendly meals.
Thank you for your understanding.

4.Campsite
Yokoo campsite will be open as usual.
No reservation required.
Please register with the office in Yokoo Sanso on arrival.

5. Trail Information as of October 22
Autumn is turning into winter in the Northern Japan Alps.
After October 21, morning and evening temperatures will drop to around 0°C to -5°C.

If you plan to hike to Karasawa Cirque or Mt. Chogatake, be prepared for freezing temperatures and icy trails. Those heading to the Hotaka Mountains or Mt. Yarigatake should expect icy sections and possible snowfall.
Several cases of hypothermia have already been reported this fall, some resulting in serious injury or even death. Bring proper gear, stay warm, and hike safe.

・From Kamikochi Bus Station to Yokoo Sanso
Snow-free, but some muddy sections.

・Trails to Karasawa Cirque, Hotaka Mountains, Mt. Yarigatake, and Mt. Chogatake
Icy sections possible. Expect some snow.
