Winter is here!

Yokoo Sanso and Yokoo Campsite are now CLOSED for the season.
A lot of thank you for all guests, visitors, staffs, and who supported us.
See you in spring 2023!!

Please take a moment to check our 2023 operations below.

1.Operational days in 2023
April 27th to November 4th’s stay
(will close from November 5th’s morning)

2.All lodge staying guests must have reservations 
Since staying comfortable is our priority, reservations are REQUIRED for any operational days.
Please call us directly to make a reservation since we don’t take online reservations.
In case of walk-in guests or reservations on the day, the extra ¥3,000 will be charged.

3.Masks
On March 13, the Japanese government dropped the indoor masking recommendation and now wearing a mask is a personal choice. However, all mountain lodges are located in very remote area and it’s quite difficult to receive health care services, so we ask to wear masks when you are inside.

4.Campsite
Yokoo campsite is open as usual.
No reservation required.
Please register with the office in Yokoo Sanso on arrival.

5.Trail conditions (as of September 10th)
Please make sure you are able to arrive at lodges or campsites by 5pm for your safety.

Summer is almost over. It’s getting a little cold outside in the evening and the morning.

So if you…
A. plan to hike up to Yokoo area:
Please bring essential hiking equipments.
warm jacket, hiking shoes, rain gear, backpack, headlamp, or more

B. plan to hike up to peaks or ridges:
For hikers who hike to Mt.Hotakadake or Mt.Yarigatake, mountaneering skills and experience are required.
If you stay in Karasawa area, you must start to walk from Yokoo by 2pm.
